Lignum, produced at Holtza Group’s production facilities, is the ideal construction solution for vertical and horizontal enclosures because due to its self-bearing capacity there is no need for secondary elements. It consists of two outer timber walls (Monterey pine boards, spruce boards and/or O.S.B) joined to an eco-sustainable insulation core. Lignum is innovative and sustainable and has countless physical and mechanical features, allowing versatile construction solutions for efficient floor, wall and roof enclosures. It also gives the possibility of designing and making a specific panel tailored to each project designer’s ideas.
Building a timber house using Lignum is straightforward, quick and cheap. It can be used to build modular buildings that are easy to install via dry construction systems. Due to the natural, ecological materials used, it provides excellent thermal and acoustic insulation, and it is ideal for use as part of bio-architecture.
As well as new buildings made completely from timber, Lignum can also be used in complete or partial restorations, on mezzanine floors or in partition walls. It is cheap considering its many features. Firstly, it allows exposed wood on both sides, and secondly it provides a wide range of finishes to the designer’s taste, both inside and outside (ventilated façades, masonry….).
