Cross laminated panels are structural boards used for vertical and horizontal elements. They are formed by red fir timber sheets which are crossed and glued over.
Warping and contraction and dilation on the board surface are reduced to a minimum due to the arrangement of sheets lengthways and crossways. Static resistance and rigidity are increased considerably, easily achieving static equilibrium. Compared to common products used in timber construction, cross laminated timber offers completely new load transfer possibilities. Loads can be transferred in any direction, not just one direction like in the case of supports or means.
